This is the turn of a white wine:

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Doc, Forteto San Leo.

Verdicchio is a wine of ancient origins, grown for the most part in the Marche region.

In Ancona in the Castelli di Jesi area, and in Macerata in the Matelica area.

Its name derives from the colour of its grapes, which are greenish.

It is also known as Verdeca and Verduzzo.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Doc, Forteto San Leo has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections.

It has a delicately floral and fruity bouquet.

Its taste is full-bodied and sapid with an almond finish.

The first thing that catches the eye is the unique amphora-shaped bottle.

This type of bottle is also used for bottling oil.

It is also used for bottling some French wines in Provence.

The bottle takes its inspiration from ancient Etruscan amphorae.

It was created by an engineer, Antonio Maiocchi, who designed it in 1953 for a very famous winery in the Marche region.

It is obvious that the bottle attracts a lot of attention.

Over the years, more and more people in the world of design: architects, engineers, stylists etc… began to appreciate this bottle with its sinuous shape.

Lately it has been exhibited at several exhibitions, and then it arrived at the

the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome, at the exhibition:

Drawing and Design.

The Ara Pacis is a very important museum for exhibitions dedicated to Design and the culture of Made in Italy.

So we can consider the Verdicchio bottle a true work of modern art.
